Hal Routh is a 27-year construction industry veteran that has led teams in winning over $4 Billion in construction projects. He has held executive tenures at one large regional and two large national construction firms. Hal’s career has been hallmarked by his unique ability to spur revenue and profitability growth wherever his career took him, and in any economic environment. As a result, he has become a noted expert in creating sustained growth strategies in the Construction industry.

Hal founded Equalizer9 to teach, coach, and mentor construction companies in high-return, win strategies. Today, Equalizer9 is a leading consulting firm in the U.S. construction industry and has worked with construction companies in 20 U.S. states. 

Hal holds degrees in Economics & Political Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters In Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He currently lives in Southport, NC, but will always call Chatham County home. Hal is married, has three grown children, and three very large dogs. When not working, Hal likes to play mediocre golf and saltwater fish, but he seldom catches anything.
